I need to adjust my front electric seats in order to package and deliver.

I definitely don't want to refit them to the car do achieve this. So wondering if i can

a) connect a battery to them directly

or

b) extend cabling to the original loom/connectors in the car.

For this i'm thinking that i can connect live and ground - would this work?

If so, which pins in the connectors are live and ground?

Any other ideas welcome!

Yes you can power them with 12V and adjust them.

Easiest way to find the pins is with a volt meter and the plug in the car. The thicker cables are usually power.

That is roughly what I had in mind!

If I understand correctly the red connector block is all power, so is it a case of connecting the multi meter to pins in various combos until I read 12V?

Obviously I'd need to get the polarity correct. I'm sure I've seen threads where someone has helpfully labelled the pins...

Thanks.

Saw your WhatsApp bud, get back to you later, but yes its just 2 wires, brown obviously ground & I'll check the pics you sent before, but either straight red or red, black for 12v, that will allow them to move, push a folded wire into the pin hole side, done it many times for a temp movement.

Ping me a WhatsApp about it.
