Key Fob Issues - A6 (2012)

Evening,
2012 A6 Avant: So both of my key fob batteries were failing / temperamental re unlocking and locking the door, so I decided to change them.
I recently changed the batteries in both and now neither fob is unlocking or locking the doors and similarly the led isn’t lighting up when I press the buttons. I can obviously unlock manually using the emergency key and also start the ignition / engine by placing the black fob next to the ‘manual start’ area and pressing the on/off button in the car.
Is anyone able to suggest a fix please? The leds aren’t flashing when I press the button, but the led does go red as I slide the battery in - it’s therefore def working.
Very odd.

Shouldn't lose remote sync on battery change unless its taken you a very long time to swap.

Ideally need vcds to resync, then test signals are seen ok on button presses.
