Hi all,
With the weather starting to get a bit warmer I was beginning to think about the my next retrofit. I was thinking of upgrading from my current 8K setup to 12K (and activate the Auto Park feature) - it looks like a relatively straight forward retrofit just a bit time consuming removing bumpers/drilling holes. My question was, are the extra four sensors used to enhance any other assistance modules? so for example, are they be used when manual parking (do you get extra shaded areas/red lines on the side of the car in the Optical Parking System)? or are they purely used for auto park?... the reason I ask is because I recently used a lender Audi car with auto park and I found it such a fluff to get it to work, the space had to be massive for it to see it, i.e. forget about using it in tight spaces, so if these extra four sensors are exclusively used for auto parking (and nothing else) maybe it's not worth the pain of the retrofit.
