2.0 tdi hatch. My back wiper blade swipes about halfway and stops. I have to do a little on/off motion with the stalk to get the other half of the stroke. Only now it's getting even worse because it's started stopping about a 2/3 of the way from the end of the stroke.
Sometimes a little on/off flick will make it complete a cycle back to it's stopping point but sometimes the only solution is a long press to trigger the rear wash wipe cycle, then after the 3 or 4 cycles, it usually comes to rest back in the right place.
What's that all about? Anybody had anything similar?
I wondered if the back blade was on the way out and the motor was sensitive to extra friction? Or could it be contacts corroded somewhere that I could use a contact cleaner on, or something? Hopefully it's not the motor on the way out (if it is, it's been on the way out for about a year and a half).
Anyone have any ideas? (except Mr. Ripitoutandshoveapluginit, thanks).
