Hi from 8L newbie

Been a member for years owned other models / platforms but have now bought myself an S3 8L for toy / investment
Had a red one brand new in 2000 and have always loved them.
Took a long time to find colour / spec I wanted but finally got it
All original apart from front bumper / bonnet been painted and colour match isn’t great.
wings just starting surface rust so going to paint full front end
3 owners from new, full history

Seeing as it was pretty highly specced with roof / rear sensors etc I thought I’d fully spec it and i have added every other bit of oem spec I can think of
If anyone knows of any other spec missing let me know

Sunroof

Chrome mirrors ( genuine added )

Rear parking sensors

18” RSTT alloys ( genuine added )

Ambient lighting ( genuine added )

RNS-d navigation ( genuine added with tmc )

6 disc cd multi changer

3rd rear headrest ( genuine added )

Armrest

Heated seats

Cruise control ( genuine added )

Auto dimming rear mirror ( genuine added )

I used to be heavily into retro fitting so when I bought it I couldn’t resist adding all the extras

It’s mint apart from the wings just started near the sills
I’ll get it done then she will be locked away, bought out on the odd occasion it’s sunny for a trip to caffeine & machine no doubt

If anyone knows of ANY additional oem optional extras I’m missing please give me the heads up

Think you’ve got most of the decent ones. I do have an old options list and brochure that I got with my S3 dated May 2002. Here are some things you might not have that are quite hilarious these days, especially the prices:

1) Cassette box holder for five cassettes integrated into the arm rest!! £72
2) Mobile phone prep within arm rest (not suitable for one2one apparently! £400)
3) TV and teletext function (RNS-D must be installed) £705!!
4) Three point centre rear seatbelt £87
5) Load safety net £74
6) SIDEGUARD head airbags £470
7) 4-spoke multi function steering wheel £145
8) Single or double cup holders for within centre armrest.

Imola yellow looks so good. Let us know when the wings are done and add more pics please
