Recoding key

Hi guys

Need some help recoding the key to the car. Cant seem to get it to code to the car, tried a few different ways on youtube.
Any way to do it without vcds or going to audi?

If you mean for immo, unless the keys pre-prepared, thats not going to happen as the chips setup beforehand then completed with the car, most key auto locksmiths just copy an existing key which isnt right.

I got locked out of the car, replaced key battery. Still didnt unlock. Key wouldnt work in car door so had to smash a window.

Car starts etc all fine but the key wont lock or unlock the car?

Bizarre lock didnt work, probably needs new lock aswell as microswitches probably faulty.

Sounds like not immo, so need to use vcds or the like to test remote 1st see of car sees signal, then resync all keys.

How do you go about resyncing the key?
Is it likely that the battery I put in isnt good enough as was only a cheap one?

Then put a good battery in & retest, kinda ******* in the wind if thats the issue.

Okay so a good battery still didnt resolve my issue.

Can you resync a key without vcds
