Hi i am new to all these forums..i recently purchased a 65 plate s3 and decided to do a stage 1 re-map on it,now when it hits 4500rpm all wheels spin and the esp flashes, its actually slower than before, itfeels like it has the power, then dies off..can anyone advise..
Thanks

In all gears or just the lower gears (1st / 2nd)? Id assume its just the lower gears so it will be the traction control kicking in, which kills most of the power until it thinks traction is good again. The cause of this is likely to be that the haldex pump is knackered and needs replacing (about 230 quid for the kit plus half hours labour to fix).
If its in all gears then god knows.

Haldex common issue unless the pump is removed and gauze cleaned.
Audi will try and sell you a new pump, that’s not needed.

Best bet is to find an Audi specialist local…

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback, haldex all serviced and was still doing it,apparently its the clutch slipping after 4k revs when the boost kicks in,and advised to get a stage 2 clutch upgrade?

A haldex service does not fix a broken haldex pump. If the ESP light is still flashing up then its not the clutch its the pump that's knackered. Having said that if its still doing it and the ESP light is no longer flashing up then yes clutch slip seems likely. The stock clutch is junk and a known weakness even on standard cars

Slipping clutch won’t bring up traction control issues!

You manual gearbox?
