Is it normal for the chain to make a slight noise on startup for about 0,5-1 second, snd then completely disappear… the previous owner said it was doing that for 7 years and the previous car he had also did the same just wanted to double check…
 
Yes. It takes a moment for oil pressure to build in the chain tensioners - a second or so. If the rattle persists for 3-4 seconds, or worse, be heard while running continuously, then it is in need of replacing.

Once the car is started, the noise completely disappears and it purrs like a kitten…

That's perfectly acceptable of these engines, particularly with decent to high mileage. Keep an eye ear out for excessive rattle going forward and enjoy the car :)

I measured the time it rattles… and its about 0,6-0,8 seconds
