Thought it worth a mention to save anyone getting done, but it seems that dashcam footage can be used to calculate speed and prosecute. Very surprising considering the police need calibrated and Home Office approved equipment, but here's a few links. I'm guessing it will only be the worst offenders that the police will bother pursuing, but it's pretty damn easy to go well above the speed limit. I knew about the NextBase portal and Operation Snap for bad driving, but now it seems speeding can be included.

If I had a dash cam I'd use it to prosecute the rider of the cyclist that looked over his should at me and then proceeded to swerve straight out in front of the van I was driving to then sit beside his mate whilst going slowly up hill.....f4ck1ng tw4t made it impossible for me to overtake and he knew it!
