Thought it worth a mention to save anyone getting done, but it seems that dashcam footage can be used to calculate speed and prosecute. Very surprising considering the police need calibrated and Home Office approved equipment, but here's a few links. I'm guessing it will only be the worst offenders that the police will bother pursuing, but it's pretty damn easy to go well above the speed limit. I knew about the NextBase portal and Operation Snap for bad driving, but now it seems speeding can be included.
