1K0612071D Broken, not sure how to proceed

the vacuum for the brakes has broken, right by the unit on the side of the engine (leant on it when me legs gave in ) but yeah ive got the new vacuum hose but i cant get it onto the nipple of the device, its dark now but i have photos of bodged repair, and the new hose, which will not go over the nipple. ive not pushed to hard though as i dont want to break the new pipe, breaks are hard sometimes

am i missing a part or something, these two need to join but its as if the nipple is too short to reach a lock

gorilla glue, g clamp and leave for a few hours, if it works if anyone else gets this issue, theres no where online for help, this is the best i can do
