I'm looking at replacing the stock air intake on my a3 2.0l tdi. Now, I've read threads which state the performance gain is virtually nil. But, that's not the reason I'm purchasing an aftermarket air in take. I'm currently running 2260vk turbo + CP3 pump setup, not dyno'd yet but probably making around 250-280hp on stock injectors.
The issue I've got is, theres not enough air getting in so when the car goes beyond 3,000 revs it'll blow black smoke out of the back. I'm trying to rule out the air intake being the issue first.
