2006 audi a3 computer not working

Hi guys, I have a 2006 audi a3. I have a computer by the speedometer and the buttons for it but I can press the buttons and nothing will happen, the computer works it shows me how much degrees it's outside and when my gas is empty but I can't see fuel consumption and all those things. Like I said I have the buttons but it won't respond when I press them.

As long as I've owned the buttons were never functional. How do I get the coding to make it work?
