A3 sportback 2.0 tdi

Hi I'm wandering if anyone can help me iv got a 2005 a3 2.0 bkd iv just fitted a hornet straight through from cat back so the cat is still in place but since fitting iv noticed it seems to be using a lot of fuel the mpg still show the same at about 54mpg but the amount of fuel in the tank seems to be dropping alot quicker than normal

Any help and advice would br much appreciated thanks
