Hi gang.

Last year I sold my Audi and defected to the Jaguar camp (x-type). After 14 months of crippling fuel bills I'm looking to return to the Audi brand.

A local garage has a 2004 A3 2.0 TDI at a nice price, immaculate inside and out, but has done 87,000 miles. The servicing is up to date (last one in June), but I'm a bit concerned about any big bill lurking around the corner. Given the mileage, could anyone let me know what should have been done and what may be imminent? Also, how does this engine fare at higher miles?

Cheers folds

Brad.

I bought my 53 plate TDi 140 with just under 80,000 on the clock. The cambelt and tensioners are due at 80k, so that should have been done on the one your looking at. No other biggies on the horizon, just the usual filters etc.

I've never driven a newer A3, but compared to my Leon TDi (with half the mileage) its much smoother, definitely no signs of it starting to struggle.
