Just a quick question
The lining on the bonnet is a bit floppy and lost all rigidity in the bottom left corner.
can this be fixed?
If not, anyone got the part number and price for new one?

cheers

I would try with inserting a couple of thin metal wires into it.

it’s odd. The rest of the lining is thick cardboard but the floppy part is like soft sponge like material. It’s dry and not wet or damp. Material just went soft

Mine has done the same. I believe it's due to heat overtime causing the material to deform and shrink which means it doesn't sit in the gaps. A new piece is around £60 from audi which is probably the best way to go about it.

Might remove it and see if it makes any difference to noise. Car is the family bus so can’t be too noisy on long journeys

It will make no difference what so ever (IMO) taking it out - its added weight and with it slopping, a danger - it isn't likely to catch on anything in the engine but I would rip it out to avoid the risk
