Any recommendations for speaker upgrade?

Hi everyone,

Looking to upgrade the speakers in my Audi A3 Sportback with a budget of £150. Only need speakers for the front as my trim didn't come with rear speaker connections. Do I need an amp or will it be ok without?

tbh the front speakers on the a3 arent bad at all, mine came alive after just changing the headunit.

if you dont have rear speakers, you wont have the subwoofer in the back.
if it were me, id use that budget on fitting some sort of sub, either a proper box/amp setup, or an underseat jobby.
recently fitted an alpine pwe-s8 to a friends corsa (***** stock speakers), and while not thumping bass, it has added a nice bit of bass and rear fill.
another friend has an alpine swe-815 which is a small active sub, sort of inbetween an underseat and an full on sub setup. was really impressed. the bass is tight and thumpy.
