Not great for an overpriced car.

FYI the module is £3350

Surprised Audi didnt try and swerve the warranty, with all the c*ap they have done to the poor car someone must have had the glovebox out for some reason or other

Will we get an automatic recall to update the 10hour firmware update or something has to break first.

Not a clue, what VW policy is during the warranty period, specially during early life on new models:
Update modules to latest where bug fixes have been applied only during routine service or
wait until customer or safety issue is logged in and only apply to affected module only.

They will only update cars that report issues with MMI / VC etc and even then it will only be if a software fix has been rolled out......

Some cars will already be running the latest versions of the Firmware so won't get/need any updates.

The biggest killer of MMI units in the glovebox........Heat, they are not well ventilated areas.

New one for me to be aware, on the potential issue of heat on the units in the Glovebox.
