I’ve recently had all four wheels refurbished, however after the first wash I’ve noticed on the inner of each there is a 50p size mark that looks unfinished.

I just wondered if this is normal? I’m guessing it’s where the wheel was clamped or something for painting?

It’s pretty obvious when clean, and I’m thinking it should have at least been painted the same colour?

It’ll be the hanger point when they painted the alloys.

Places I’ve used before hangs it from the air valve hole to avoid this.

Yup agreed, but not every place engages the grey matter before doing a job

Tbh they should of paid attention to that, that's an oversight.

That's also where every wheel I've had powder coated eventually ends up failing - the water that sits in around the tyre valve then works its way under the gap in powder coat where it was hung from and it eventually bubbles up around the tyre valve. I'd guess they've hung the wheel from a small area inside to avoid this from happening. I'd probably stick some paint over it just to seal it up though and then ceramic coat them to keep them looking nice and fresh. I put Gtechniq C5 wheel armour on mine a few years ago and it's made a huge difference on stopping the brake dust etc from sticking to them.
