Audi A4 B7 Cab - Centre brake light warning

Hello guys

my 08 a4 cab keeps giving me this centre brake light not working fault

i know there is similar threads on this, but my problem is that the light it self does not exist on my car

there is this filler piece instead, I do not have the light assembly, I bought the car with this fault

possibly previous owner removed it or sometihng, how do i get rid of this light

is there any wires i can jump maybe or something?

Sounds like it’s been bodged by a previous owner. The centre lights were really expensive back in the day but now you can get decent aftermarket’s. So might be worth taking the boot lid apart and seeing if you can work it out.

Also if you do fit & it doesn't work, just swap the 2 wires round as they reversed the polarity on newer ones.
