My car has been throwing out various messages and in particular the engine management light when it gets hot. Diagnosis is timing chain replacement for around £800 which at 60k miles seems ok. Anyone else have this done. I’m keeping the car forever as I love it so much!

Can expect parts to be about £300ish alone for genuine ones. Labour is an annoying job as its arch liner out and engine mount depending if u want extra space etc. But 800 is good at a independent specialist with genuine parts.
I think in reality it’s going to be closer to £1000. This is an independent garage which I haven’t used before but is highly rated and certainly know their way around Audis
