Has anyone taken the plunge and fitted one of these? Any thoughts? Would you recommend?

I haven't fitted that particular one but I have fitted the https://bavarian-automotive.co.uk/ unit and the www.RSNav.com one. Both are great units and a third of the price.

Ive got the RSNav unit in my A5. its good but to be honest the Bavarian automotive one that I fitted to the wifes car is just as good and arrives alot quicker.

I got my one from amzon, it took a few days to deliver. Just make sure you order the right for your radio! (As there are different types of car play units for different radios ie " concert" or "Symphony" ) .
So far its worked really well. I don't use the wireless carplay I have a USB cabele that comes with it, that I directed it to come out the glovebox. Which I will be moving to under the arm rest which is will be a little job
