DRL as CHL Function

You need to have DRL’s (OEM Xenon lights) and rain/light sensor fitted (auto lights) and have BCM control module with the part number 8E0 907 279 (N or L)

Fit the Switch for DRL/CHL - 8E2 919 094 D

Code address 09 with VCDS or similar according to cars spec then do the adaption below

Channel 001: Coming Home Time
Activation Time of the Coming Home Lighting.

To get DRL working for CHL you need to splice DRL wires to the wires for the front fog-lights.

Remove the driver bolster under steering wheel to gain access to the BCM.

Splice it directly at the wiring harness from the 23 pin connector located on Body Control Module (BCM) using snap lock (scotch locks) wire connectors( if one port on snap lock is partially blanked then just use a 3mm drill bit to drill it out so you can have the full fog wire running through it and the DRL wire by its side.

Please check for 16 & 18 to be the right pins for DRL Bulbs before splicing, You can check by using a test light and checking for presence of voltage whilst operating the DRL switch on/off.

You need to connect Pin 16 to Pin 19 (next to each other in connector housing) and Pin 18 to Pin 21 (next to each other in connector housing) there is no need to cut any wires just use the snap lock connectors 2 are required.

16: DRL Right
18: DRL Left
19: Fog right
21: Fog left

Then enjoy Coming Home Lights
