Fair do's on the expenditure he has put into it, all those measuring devices must have cost a small fortune.............but.
Shell Bearings have always been thinner at the ends where they meet, it's to allow them NOT to pinch the crank when you torque the main/big end caps up.
Id take the piston ring gap trmming tool, that looks good
Measuring cylinder bores is an odd one as most say when bored the cylinder block should have torque plate (At least an inch thick steel plate (with cyl holes) torqued to the the block to represent the cylinder head being fitted as this distorts the cylinder bore a little and measuring afterwards (without the plate) would give odd readings anyway.
I think if your building a F1 engine this approach would be required, but for our road requirements I doubt the extra TLC would reflect enough in either HP or longevity to justify the cost.
