Visiting my brother yesterday and his neighbour damaged my SQ5 when pulling out. Can see some scuffs and the rear exhaust trim/diffuser has been damaged.

Any idea of rough repair costs? My brother’s neighbour told me to get a quote and he’ll pay for the repairs (felt sorry for my brother’s neighbour, he’s an 80 year old and was very shook up)

i had an altercation with the entrance to my garage, scraped the rear driver side door and handle and the wheel arch as well so two panels. Got a couple of quotes- £550 plus vat, £630 plus vat. Decided to go through my insurance as I've got protected no claims and having done a few new insurance quotes with the claim declared and not, the difference wasn't a great deal. So just my £250 excess to pay.

The Audi Approved paint repair place I took it to for the insurance quote came back at £1350!!

I'd be surprised if yours would be anything under £500 given it's also over 2 panels.

Local Audi dealership has its own onsite bodyshop. I’ve been quoted £660 for repaint and blending in of the rear bumper.

Is it something that a decent smart repairer could tackle? It looks like less damage than I inflicted myself a few months ago.

Other party is at fault and admits liability so I don't see why I should settle for a smart repair? It's at the Audi bodyshop so hopefully will come back as good as new.

Fair enough; I merely asked the question given what you'd said about feeling sorry for the guy.

Good as new:
