I wanted to ask for advice about removing this aftermarket crap the last owner for my vehicle put in my car. It's a dvd player in the back, connected to 2 tv's in the headrests.
I first of all thinks it looks like absolute garbage. Secondly, it stops me from installing bluetooth audio in the car when it interferes with my Re-Stream bt module.
So far i have disconnected the whole dvd player itself, but a whole bunch of cables remain in the back of the center console. Going to the media section in the MMI still shows CD 7 as VIDEO. And i'm not sure if i need to tear down the whole console and rip out whatever box the cables might be connected to, or if i may just need to reset the firmware somehow.
Since the player isnt connected at all to the car i dont understand why it still shows video. Perhaps its the screens that are connected to the MMI, does anyone have a clue?
