Bad uneven Idle

I have changed my belts, chain tensioner, water pump.

after i was done i fired it up got a error for bad timing on the camshaft sensor.

Fixed the timing now the car runs like crap and sounds like its suffering.

Are you sure the timing is correct now? Have you scanned with vcds / odb eleven ? The EML doesn't always show up, the fault needs to be seen on 3 consecutive starts...

Did you remember to remove the grenade pin from the tensioner after repositioning the belt?

Whet my timing belt has been out by a tooth, it made no difference in driving the car, I would just get an eml every couple of days...

Are you sure you've not broken, disconnected the vacuum pipe from the inlet manifold to the brake booster up by the firewall, if that leaks it runs like that? And you would have had the pipe work mucked about with to adjust the belt.
