Headlights problem.....

I have an A3 1.8TS (2000) and one of my headlights went out a few weeks ago. Due to being so busy, only just got round to buying some new bulbs yesterday.

Hpwever, a few days ago, the other headlight went out so I have been driving with the side lights plus fogs. When I bought the 2 new bulbs I fitted them but nothing has happened!! Both still dont work. I checked the fuses but they are ok so I'm stumped!

Any ideas what the problem is?

if it is xennons then you will probably find the powerpack has failed for the lights!!!

if it is not xennons then probably a wiring fault if the fuse and the bulbs are ok, but that is not a common fault

That's what I'm thinking too...some sort of wiring fault but thought it was worth a try to ask on here if there was a common fault......
