R8 purchase advise

Hi guys been a while since I posted here,
I'm looking at purchasing a r8 v8 4.2
Is there anything I should look out for when buying. in particular looking at anything within a budget of 35k coming from a c63 w205 and prior to that a gtr r35

Check brake and disc wear and also if it has mag ride, check the conditions. All quite expensive to replace.

Also see if engine has been de-coked.

Other things? Get a manual, as early trip-tronic boxes were very jerky. And standard seats are much better than the Buckets out of the RS4. I thinks it's due to being so low, they can be tricky to get in and out of.

Personally, I'd only buy one if it had a full Audi service history.

Lastly, enjoy it if you buy one. I had one for just over 3 years and never got bored of hearing that V8 wail at 8000 rpm, or the click clack of the manual gearbox.
