Had my car serviced last week and no mention, but if you put the reg for (seemingly any) S-Line Petrol saloon in, the MOT checker service warns "There's an outstanding recall on AUDI A3 S LINE 35 TFSI"

Anyone got an ideas? This warning comes up for both my old 70 plate and my current 72 plate.

Ring your dealer and check. Could be anything.

Same here for identical model. Gov.uk MOT checker says there's a recall but audiwarringtons recall checker says there isn't a recall

Anyone know what the recalls for ?
my dealer rang the mrs and got me booked in she didn't ask what it was for though

Interesting, I get the same for my S line 40TFSI-e

Probably this one which mine is going in for.

Just to confirm it is the connector issue mentioned above. They said it would be quick but have still only managed to book me in for three weeks time!

Just that ? That's what they said they need the car all day for

Got our recall letter and car is booked in for friday. Said they needed it for 2 hours, but unless they have changed the way they work the car will be there all day.

Had mine done yesterday while I waited, took no longer than an hour.

Booked in for Oct 16th, was told it takes about 1/2 hour but would also give the car a safety check over and so they need it for an hour…sit and wait job.

after a 'bit' of a merry go around, I have found out that the dealer carried out this recall end August during my service (but didn't tell me) and that my lease company was late in sending out the recall notice.

Where have you been?

Where have you been?
I serviced my car at dealer A (far away, but cheapest service). I wanted to do the recall work at dealer B (my nearest). Called B if I needed, they said yes, but then told them I serviced just 30 days ago, maybe recall work already done, they said they will check, system to check other dealers record was down, call tomorrow. I called dealer A if they could tell me, their internal system was down. Called B again next day, still down. Emailed both, no reply. In the end dealer B email me, no need as carried out already (but they didn't tell me).

Very strange behavior for a dealer.

Found the attached details on the RS3 forum.

I've just had a letter through about my A3 needing this checked, I'm due a service and usually use an Audi specialist, will they be able to do the work or does it need to be an Audi dealer?

Got up early on Saturday to take it for the recall only to be told that it had already been done during service and that it was on the paperwork from the service. It wasn't. So now I'm not sure if it has or hasn't been done.

Got my letter, both dealers near me cant do a while you wait appointment for 5 weeks.

They obviously dont consider it safety critical.

Mrs yellow edition took the car in and when she asked how long it would take ,Service dept said well your car is booked for 2 hours. Wife pointed out it wasnt a big job and would take minutes to do , but service dept didnt know anything about it.
Decide not to get the car washed and hoovered and just get it back.
But they did have time to put the car on ramps and measure the tread depth and brake pad thickness. On a 3 month old car with hardly any miles on it.
Anyway wife walked back in after 60 minutes to get the car as they were about to phone her.
