Facelift Replacement s3 key

Good evening. Currently in the process of buying a jan 19 s3 which only has 1 key. Apparently from 18 all vag keys come from Germany. Any ideas on price and if they need coding to car etc so i can get the cost covered from seller. Kind regards

Let’s can only be ordered via an official VW group supplier such as a dealership or an independent like myself. Need proof of ownership, ID and address. Takes approx 14 working days at the moment. Keys are prepared with the related component security data but ultimately need coding to the vehicle. Looking around the £300 mark for supply and coding.

Cheers bud for update. I see you are in London so a bit too far away from Manchester but appreciate your imput. Obviously i dont own the car yet but needed a figure to get the money off the car so i thank you for a estimate. All the best Rick.

All Audi dealership supplied & indie "official" keys have always come from Germany, it's not a 2018 directive, whoever told you that was incorrect & I've been doing this since 2000 for clients.

Keys come precoded to an extent & are then matched to the car upon arrival at a dealer or relevant party, this has been the default process for many years now & as stated all the relevant I'd of car ownership are required or they will not help.

I'd just call a local Audi dealer for a price, less hassle, they wil charge more then £300 unfortunately.

Audi want 255 inc vat for key. It seems coding is different at each dealer. Had 1 at 75 and 1 at 90. Independent key specialist was 100 more than main agent!
