A3 8V Coding advice

I have a A3 8V 2014, I have installed a OEM Audi sub (not b&o) but cannot get it to work. Everything is connected to the MMI correctly. I took it to a guy yesterday to get it coded and activate those subwoofer pins as well as the subwoofer control knob but he was unable to do this so left with neither. I’m struggling to find anyone in my area that even understand what I’m trying to do. Any idea why sub wouldn’t activate? It looked like it accepted it at first but there was no sound from the sub and after that I think he said it was saying the sequence was too long but can’t be sure.

As far as I was aware sub control in MMI is only available with B&O kit not sure what coding you need to activate the Audi sub but I'm sure @DJAlix or @NHN would be able to advise possibly/maybe.

This retrofit cannot be completed via coding alone I am afraid.
