My AC stopped blowing cold air recently so I took it to a local garage who diagnosed it as an electrical fault with the heater control panel.
For the fitting of a brand new heater control panel I was quoted over £1k but I was able to find a garage that sourced and fitted a second-hand part for £250.
After fitting the part it hasn't fixed the problem and the guy who fitted it thinks the fault is due to maybe a blockage or something so I'm now going to a garage that specialises in air conditioners.
If the first garage had in fact misdiagnosed the fault, a diagnosis I paid £102 for. What are my consumer rights in having that amount refunded?
