Hi everyone,

I love my 2012 Audi A5 convertible (see picture) but at 60,000 miles has had a complete engine failure and my garage has advised the only way to keep in on the road is a reconditioned engine which they don't do. I'm starting my research on the process and a good garage to do this. I think this will cost around £3000-£4000 (from £2000 for the engine and £1000 for labour) for a like-for-lie which is the 2L TFSI version.

1. Has anyone been down this route, and can you offer any advice?
2. Anyone had this done at an Audi specialist.

Basically any advice appreciated.

I'll post how I get on in this forum.

Cheers,

Warwick Boy
