Hi Joe,

I'm not sure mate, it worked great on my 2016 S5, that's the most recent car year I had it connected upto, I don't want to say yes and you buy it, then it doesn't work.

Maybe worth asking the question on the relevant thread that suits your car or put a question in VCDS thread, Ross Tech website isn't much help.

If you were closer you could have tried it.

Yes, it was the last of the b8.5's, then it was b9 2017-2020

I've asked around, and it doesn't look like my VCDS cable is fully compatible with A3/S3 Facelift or b9 models.
