Fault code help - EPC LIGHT

hello all, hoping someone can help

The wife’s 1.8tfsi has thrown up the EPC light, checked for codes and getting

P256300 turbocharger boost control position sensor circuit range/performance
P004500 turbocharger boost control A circuit open

Any ideas on what to change/do?

You’d get better detail by getting someone to scan it with VCDS rather then a generic P code, then report back.

Could be your turbo actuator sticking which was the route cause to my problem - look up on youtube some quick fixes but will need replaced eventually

It turned out to be the waste gate on my car. New turbo fixed it.

From my thread on another forum:

So that brings us up to last weekend, race prep underway with the track wheels on, car serviced and new parts installed. Long story short, had another fault on the car related to boost control module A circuit/open on Saturday which is pointing at the waste gate actuator on the turbo:

As my turbo is a hypbrid, I was unaware that the stock actuator had been modified - the rod had to be shortened

Anyway, long story short, replacing this unit fixed the problem. Turbo was perfectly fine.
