Admittedly it’s not a job for the driveway in below freezing temperatures, but you know the car and if it’s been faultless it’s worth keeping. Swapping out is out of the frying pan into the fire in my book unless you’re replacing with new or rebuilt. I rebuilt my own last year using kits from Autodoc. Very satisfying.
Wire brush and spray with PlusGas. You could try a an impact driver on it, depends how mullered it is, even a reverse thread bolt extractor. Whack some heat on it too.
