I have tried to connect to my Awd control unit to check my temp before doing a haldex service and my Vcds is saying it cannot connect to this. I have had a look at the fuse is says it is and there is no fuse there and than it look like there is only one side of a connection in there available footwell c8 is says it is. It is on a 2018 S5

S5 doesn’t have a haldex controller. Only the a3/s3 had it.
S5 has has a mechanical centre diff as far as I’m aware.

It’s permanently running through a mechanical centre differential. Awd is permanently on.
Haldex systems only turn back wheels when slip occurs otherwise they are fwd.
maintenance will be like any other diff so old will need changed and most likely part of the gearbox service as centre diff is probably built in the gearbox.

That will make sense that now. Thanks for explaining it too me as it seems a lot don’t know the setup of the drive chain.
