I'm after a bit of advice on my mates car.
It's a 2014 A6 Avant 2ltr diesel and he is having an issue with excessive pressure in his cooling system causing it to push water out at times.
The pressure is still there even when the car has fully cooled down and to the point that the cap becomes difficult to remove and even farces coolant out of the expansion tank when removing the cap.
The expansion tank dose smell of exhaust fumes but his oil is clear of water and the coolant is clean.
He has had the car to several garages and they are all baffled as to what is causing it.
He's has had a new EGR cooler fitted, had a full compression test and head tested and still non the wiser as to what's causing it.
Any suggestions as to what it could be would be great.
