I’m getting the OEM 360 camera system retrofitted to my B9 A5 Cabriolet but faced with the dilemma of getting the front camera fitted. I’ve heard that others have had issues with aftermarket grilles with the front camera angle not being quite right and so the top down image isn’t stitched together perfectly.
Does anyone have a recommended front grille where the OEM camera fits properly and calibrates to the 360 system properly?
On the stock grille, there’s not enough space below the Audi rings to put a camera, but there are the 2 holes where a bracket could attach on the inside (behind / below the rings), and looking underneath it seems there’s a guideline where the grille could be cut to accommodate a camera. Has anyone taken this approach?
When I look on llParts.co.uk, I see there are some OEM grilles which have a honeycomb design such as:
8W6853651BG
And some one ebay ending in BQ, but I’m not sure what the last 2 characters mean, colour? And if these grilles will fit my A5 Cabriolet.
It also says “radiator grille modify in workshop”.
I’ve also been looking at the CT Carbon grille
Any recommendations or tips?
