Can i replace the high pressure pump on my 2.0t for the 3.2l pump ?

My high pressure pump is in need of replacing. I was going to replace like for like however, Ive just read a forum post regarding the original pump not being man enough for remapped scenarios and that the apr pump is the route to go.

£1000 for the apr is extremely excessive, so im wondering could i fit the 3.2l high pressure pump or am i going to open a can of worms.

Depending where you get it. Vis one is a bit cheaper. But if you go for internals that's the cheapest option. But you need someone to fit it correctly.
As far as i know 3.2l pump isn't the same.
