Hiya, I’m new here so I apologise if iv posted in the wrong chat forum.
I snapped my key in the ignition today but managed to get the key out, I stupidly tried to turn the car over with the key to see if I could get it to start but stupidly I didn’t think! Now the car says “safe” and the glow plug light is flashing. Iv got someone coming out to cut a key and programme it but will this take my car out of safe/limp mode? And will I be able to drive it again? I have zero knowledge of cars! It’s an Audi a3 2.0 TDI 05 plate. Also will the glow plug stop flashing once the keys been programmed? I’m guessing the glow plug light might flash due to the immobiliser or am I completely wrong. Thanks for any advice
