S3/Haldex no good for track work ?

I’ve had my S3 now for years and the intention was always to turn it into a track car but I’m just unsure if it’s the wrong base to start with.

my thinking is the Haldex not being a proper AWD system and could be abit unpredictable and the extra weight isn’t the way to go ?

Would a performance haldex controller sort out the under steer and unpredictability out as a track day car ? Or would converting it to a 2WD only and removing weight be the best option (if I decide to keep it)

My main reasons for keeping it is I’ve had it about 6-7 years and I’ve gone quite a few mods over the years and the interior is abit ruined tbh but this never bothered me as I had intentions of ripping it out anyway
