whats the best way to gain a bit more performance from the 180 bhp 2.5 tdi allroad.

Get a chip, there are several to choose from. From my experience I would pick someone who can back up their power gain claims with a dyno, and make sure you look at the bottom of the curve as well as the top. That gutless hole at the bottom end can be much improved. You will not be sorry.
