my mates brother who works in audi got me a price on a few things today, he said a MAF is £180!!:scared2: i nearly fainted! sed they wont do exchange either.

Is something wrong here? Where could i get one cheaper?

cheers,
josh

I had one on the exchance arrangement a while ago - also cost me about £80.

Worth calling another dealer? GSF do them for between about £50 and £70 + VAT depending on type...

Regards,

Rob.

cheers guys, i thought they were around that price, dont know how theyre charging so much , maybe ill pop up vw tomorrow and see what they want for one.

Mine was £90 from Bradford Audi on an exchange deal. Then got £20 for my old MAF

they probably charging you that much because of labour if it they are fitting it

The £180 part is brand new. The £70 part is a reconditioned item. The reconditioned items have a small yellow sticker with a vw/audi recycle symbol.

So ask for the remanufactured item and you should receive the cheaper price.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with the reconditioned units if you are concerned about that.

AHH right! the answer, cheers mate!!:o.k:

will try that!!

You will find that they are the same part numbers , but with an "X" on the end
That denotes exchange
So get the part number they want to sell you and put an X on the end and you are there ;)
