seen this?

I was just browsing the Autotrader and spotted this S3. Certainly a different colour. Also states the owner is a member of an S3 owners club. Was wondering if they are a member on here (as surely this is the biggest? ), though if not - wonder what club they mean?

Probably after the respray. I've spotted a few S3's for sale with badges on this side now!

Looks nice, the colour really suits it imo. Also like the way the seller states its only £210 road tax but fails to mention it will be £415 next year!

Depends which engine it is mate, agreed if its a 210bhp model but £415 if its a BAM 225bhp.

The point is its having an effect if people are selling cars like the S3 and trying to point out its only £210 to tax.

I'm not certain, but when I put the reg plate into askmid.com - it states the car is an A3.


When I put mine into askmid it states mine is an S3....

but its a 2001 reg so i thought tax it cheaper

Rick, if it was registered after march 2001 and has the 225 fitted, the tax next year is £415

The £415 tax doesn't come in till 2010 next year it is around £300ish. They are phasing it in graduarly to lessen the blow

As the car is on a private plate this can happen, some of these vehiclecheck services struggle with cars on private plates. Would defo require a proper HPI check prior to purchase and confirmation with the DVLA. Also comical is of course that the Escort Cosworths were never available in 5 door only 3 door so the vehicle check is clearly suspect.
