Do I have a FMIC?

On the drivers side of the car, there's some sort of cooler behind the bumper. Just a stock square one. Does anyone know what this is?

I've got a 1999 1.8T Quattro.

Yes but its classed as a SMIC (side mount)

All turbo'd A3's will have it.

S3's have one at each side, 1.8T's have 1 unsure which side....still....there are a few that have replaced these with an FMIC, i think one person went 1xFMIC and 1XSMIC on their S3.....
