Just had a new electric fan fitted to my '99 2.8Q as it was apparently the cause of the air con not being cold ie sytem not being cooled. Anyway, it gets nice and cold now but the fan seems to be on full blat all the time, even when the HVAC is switched off. My car now sounds like a hover craft!
I read on here that the fan should switch on/off with the 'econ' button as well as the 'off' button, but it just kicks in about 30 secs from switching the ignition on, even from cold.
I'm convinced this is not right and assume one of my sensors have gone. Any ideas where/how to check??
