96 a4 remote key ?

i bought a a4 the other week , its a 96 model 2.6 se...
i have only 1 standard key with the car , the central locking works with the drivers door lock .
i want to know if its possible to get either a key fob or key with built in keyfob to enable me to lock/unlock the car remotly.
i am not sure it carme with this feature originally...
i have seen various types of key on ebay , does anyone know if the car supports remote locking ?

Any aftermarket system can work on the stock car.

It involves adding a control unit, and master actuator in the driver's door.

i fitted a system i baught online for about 20quid to ours

doesnt require anything doing to the drivers door, i just spliced the control box into the loom at the central locking pump and that was it.

you can get the blades cut to fit your car, and move the immobiliser chip from your existing key into the fob that comes with the kit.
