High mileage A3's?

I imagine, and assume by reading various posts that Audi have a decent engine. I'm looking to buy a second hand A3 1.8T - would you strongly advise against a high miler? Say, around 100k for an R reg? What problemswould you forsee and what should I look out for?

Mines done 104000 miles. Doesn't burn a drop of oil and is still nice and quiet.

Like pete says, if the cars got a good history, then it'll be okay.

My 1.8T R-reg has done nearly 98K and runs as well now as it did when new. I have never had to top up the oil once and fuel consumption is the same. Check the state of the brakes, tyres and clutch, and as peteTDI says, make sure the cambelt has been changed.
