Left a light on in the car last and battery was flat this morning. Neighbour had jump leads and sorted me out. I took the car for a spin to charge up the battery, came home and parked up.

Went out two hours later and key wouldn't open the door, spare key the same. Opened the car via the boot, lol and tried key in ignition, no lights on dash.

Does the key need to be reprogrammed or could it be a dodgy fuse maybe?

If the key turned in the ignition, the dash lights would come on. Therefore I'd say your battery is still dead.

Dead battery, no remote locking... Why the boot though???

Both keys wouldn't open the door. They turned in the lock okay, just wouldn,t pop the button. The dash lights came on this morning, the engine didn't turn over though.

key should open the doors as its mechanical not electrical, have you tried the passenger side ? dash lights don't take much power but you need a new battery for sure as I take it its the original..how olds the car?
